spring anime 2021 i'm looking out for pt. 2
yes, yes, hello again.
continuation of my previous post. also i feel like i should include the pilot dates in this post, which i didn't do in my last lol.
so, next on my list of new anime this spring season...
-mars red (April 5th)...this one is about vampires in 1923 which is a genre i haven't watched much of. also includes history & military as well. i really like the idea of it and i know nothing other than the bio, but i'm genuinely looking forward to this. here's part of the bio:
"The story takes place in 1923, and vampires have existed for quite a while. But now, the number of vampires is increasing and a mysterious, artificial blood source called Ascra has appeared.
The Japanese government, in turn, creates “Code Zero,” a unit within the army tasked with taking down the vampiric forces. And what better way to track vampires than by using vampires?"
-the saint's power is omnipotent (April 6)...this one is another iseaki, fantasy, & romance, but it's centered around a female protagonist which is an interesting start to me, i always love a good female protagonist story. here's part of the bio:
"Sei, a 20-year-old office worker, is whisked away to a whole new world. Unfortunately for Sei, the ritual that summoned her—meant to produce a “Saint” who would banish the dark magic—brought two people over instead of one."
-vivy -flourite eye's song- (April 3)...sooo, basically another music anime but sci-fi as well, she's an AI and later is approached by a guy who needs her in the future to stop the war between humans and AI. seems like a pretty interesting and somewhat unique plot. here's part of the bio:
"NiaLand is an AI theme park that blends dreams with hope and science. Vivy was created as the world's first autonomous humanoid AI to work as a cast member in the theme park. One day, an AI that calls himself Matsumoto appears to her.Matsumoto claims that he is an AI from one hundred years in the future, and that his mission is to rewrite history with Vivy in order to stop the war between AI and humans that will happen a century later. How will the meeting of these two AIs with such different missions change the course of the future? This is a story of I(Vivi) destroying I(AI)... The one hundred-year journey of an AI songstress named Vivy starts now."
-shadow's house (April 10)...so, slice of life, drama, and supernatural which is all genres i love. i admit i have high hopes for this one, here's part of the bio:
"A faceless clan lives in a large mansion, masquerading as nobles. Their caretakers are living dolls who spend their days cleaning up the dirt the tenants leave behind. But there’s a deeper mystery at play…and the secret of the house will be unveiled."
-the world ends with you (April 9)...another action and adventure which i'm not too much of a fan of, but the plot does kinda remind me of Darwin's Game, which i loveeedddd. here's part of the bio:
"Neku awakens in the middle of Shibuya’s bustling Scramble Crossing with no memory of how he got there. Little does he know he’s been transported to an alternate plane of existence known as the Underground (UG). Now an unwilling participant in the mysterious “Reapers’ Game,” Neku must partner up with a girl named Shiki in order to survive. Together, they complete missions and defeat monsters known as “Noise” as they gradually uncover the true nature of this twisted Game. There’s only one way to stay alive in Shibuya: trust your partner. Will they survive the Reapers’ Game?"
-joran: the princess of snow and blood (March 30)...yes, yes, i know this already started but i just found it on livechart.me while i was browsing the new spring seasons. so bare with me. this one's historical, supernatural, and action. i always love a good supernatural anime, and lately i've been interested in learning more about japanese history. probably because of Miku from the Quintessential Quintuplets LOL. here's part of the bio:
"Lurking behind the glitz is Kuchinawa, a dissident group planning the assassination of the prince, and effectively the fall of the regime. Tasked to extinguish these dissidents is Nue, the government’s secret executioner group. Sawa Yukimura, who works for this organization, suffered from an early age at the hands of the Kuchinawa boss. Her entire family was murdered and she dedicated her life to avenging their death."
so, yeah, this is what i'm looking forward to and i'm gonna start some of these tomorrow after class and my new psychiatrist intake. haven't been doing well mentally so hopefully she can help me :/
happy watching! <3
